Meet Our Owner and President – Tripp Woodland

Tripp Woodland founded Woodland to combine several of his personal passions: construction, creativity, process improvement, and attention to detail.

He grew up building model airplanes, tree forts, and other projects that would engage his mind and satisfy his desire to understand how things were put together. He worked as a carpenter’s assistant through high school and college.

After earning his business degree from the University of Oregon, he spent the early part of his career working for a financial management firm and an IT company. The skills Tripp gained from his corporate experiences include effective communications, proactively managing expectations of clients and colleagues, problem solving and cost containment.

Wanting to pursue his passion for construction and entrepreneurship, Tripp worked for a custom home builder to gain experience as a project manager and learn how to organize and run large jobs.

Ready to unite his business experience, construction background, and project management expertise, Tripp started Woodland in 2013.

Since then, he has had the privilege of helping people build, renovate, and restore their homes into luxurious spaces. He delivers hands-on leadership, communication, and transparency on every job. He loves working with customers, assembling teams of talented trade partners, and watching the transformation of projects from start to finish.

Tripp values the challenges and freedoms of owning his own business, the analytical side of balancing the numbers, and the creativity required to assemble and execute a construction plan.

More than anything, he values the quality of work, and exceptional craftsmanship Woodland Builders is known for. He approaches every job in his clients’ homes as if it were his own.
