He believes every project should receive the same level of care and attention as if it were Tripp’s own home.
Jay Dering, Project Manager – Licensed Construction Supervisor
Drawn to Woodland Builders’ commitment to innovation and quality, Jay is passionate about creating beautifully crafted spaces that enhance clients’ lives. The most rewarding part is seeing the excitement and joy on clients’ faces as they step into their newly remodeled homes. Jay holds a degree in architecture from Keene State, with a minor in construction safety and sustainability. Outside of work, he enjoys boating, fishing, golfing, and skiing.
Kimberly Faiella – Interior Design/Selection Consultant
Kimberly works closely with clients to translate their vision into cohesive, functional design choices. With a sharp eye for detail and style, she guides clients through every material and finish decision – ensuring the final result not only looks beautiful but aligns seamlessly with their lifestyle.
Ben Norton – Production Manager
Ben brings a strategic, detail-driven approach to his role as Project Manager, overseeing everything from scope development and estimating to on-site execution and client communication. With a deep understanding of construction and a sharp eye for planning, he ensures each phase of a project is thoughtfully managed—maximizing efficiency, quality, and budget control. Ben is known for anticipating challenges before they arise, maintaining strong relationships with trade partners, and upholding a high standard of excellence. Kimberly Powderly – Accounting Director
Kim keeps the financial side of our business running smoothly and reliably. As Accounting Manager, she ensures our trade partners and vendors are paid on time, our books stay accurate, and all insurance requirements are in check. Whether she’s preparing financial forecasts or answering a client’s billing question, Kim brings clarity, consistency, and a genuine commitment to great service. Process
Discovery Phone Call
Begin the remodeling process with a discovery phone call to understand the scope of your project and its details. This conversation helps determine if our services match your needs. An appointment is then scheduled for an in-home consultation during regular business hours to further explore possibilities.
Initial Consultation (in-home)
During the in-home consultation, we’ll delve deeply into your project objectives, lifestyle needs, and aesthetic preferences, such as traditional, modern, or transitional styles. We’ll discuss your budget and project description and, depending on whether you have existing plans, choose between a project development agreement and a project development specifications agreement.
Project Planning & Design Development
Collaborate with your or our architect to create schematic drawings and refine the project scope for a more accurate estimate. Key trade partners will be involved in the estimating process, and we’ll discuss your preferences for materials and finishes. Site conditions will be reviewed, and cost estimates for various design options will be presented.
Remodel Aggreement
We’ll present a detailed remodeling agreement outlining the scope and price of the construction work. Feedback is encouraged, allowing for final revisions before producing the construction documents necessary for permitting. We’ll also develop a detailed construction schedule and begin securing the required permits.
Construction
Our team strives to minimize disruption during the construction phase, managing the work daily and maintaining open communication with you. You’ll have online access to project tracking data, providing updates on daily and weekly progress, and ensuring you’re informed of any changes.
Close-Out & Ongoing Support
The project concludes with a thorough quality control review and a discussion of your overall experience. We provide you with all relevant product information and warranties, along with a one-year warranty and ongoing support. We’ll also discuss opportunities to assist your friends and family with their remodeling needs.
